Welcome to the unofficial MKHS Alumni Reunion Website! This site was originally created and funded by alumni to help organize a multi-year reunion that was held on Saturday, September 23, 2006, in Huntington Beach, California. Classes that participated included 1969 through 1988. There were more than 600 alumni and guests in attendance. There are more than 400 photos posted of the 2006 reunion on the "Photo Albums" page.
The website is now being utilized by many to keep in touch with fellow alumni, as well as assist other classes in planning and organizing their reunions and events.
Alumni may register profiles on this site. Profiles can be viewed on the "Classmates" page and currently includes graduates from 1961 through 2006. There are more than 600 alumni profiles posted-to-date.
REGISTER TODAY: Registration is FREE to all alumni - as well as Message Board postings & Guest Book entries. Click on the "Add Your Info" button on the "Classmates" page to register.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON GET-TOGETHER - AUGUST 3RD IN L.A.!!!
Ray Renteria '78 and Janet Varela '80 are visiting from Oregon in a couple of weeks. Janet wanted a chance to get together with some friends - and I needed an excuse to plan something! So, David Vargas '81 has a restaurant in L.A. (Little Tokyo area) that we're going to use to meet on Sunday, August 3rd at 5 p.m. - when the doors open. For those of you that attended Reunion Committee Meetings at Sapphire - Israel is the bartender :) This is open to all - please join us!
Weiland Brewery 400 E. First Street Los Angeles Tel: 213-680-2881
Please send me an e-mail if you can make it: ecapozello@ca.rr.com
I hope everyone is enjoying the summer months and maybe getting in some "vacation" time. I don't know about you, but the cost of gas seems to keep me a lot closer to home these days. There hasn't been a lot to post lately. Although, the Baja Reunion Cruise seems to be gaining steam! I wish I could join in the fun, but my contract work as an event planner for Boeing ended recently (after 4 years and 8 months) and I'm spending a lot of time researching the job market. This is my first real opportunity to be an "at-home mom" for Spencer and I love it! Hope you're all doing well. Take care!
"CLASSMATES" PAGE EDITING: The webhost is now allowing individuals to update Classmate profiles. Most of us posted the information on this site two years ago when we began planning the reunion and the info is old. If you have forgotten your user name and password, there is an option on the page to e-mail it to yourself.
Now, if for some reason we get bad content (remember the porn website links someone posted in the Guest Book?) it will be deleted along with the person's profile. Sorry, guys but this is a family-type of site!
ANITA (GORHAM) PEDERSON ’71 – 5TH ANNUAL ALL SCHOOL REUNION CRUISE – IMPORTANT UPDATE (Rev. 7/7/08)

Still time to join your fellow Keppelites on a fun-filled weekend on Royal Caribbean’s Monarch of the Seas. Renew old friendships! Share stories! Laugh at old hairstyles in school photos! Win prizes at the Keppel Trivia contest! Visit the lively port of Ensenada, have a relaxing day at sea. Visit with classmates from your own class as well as those from other classes. Space is VERY limited. This ship is filling up fast because it is her LAST 3-night weekend sailing from Los Angeles before leaving for Florida.
For those who have sailed on earlier reunion cruises, this ship is newer, larger and nicer. For those thinking of going on a short cruise on Royal Caribbean “later,” the Monarch is moving to Florida in October 2008. This will be the last chance to do short cruises on Royal Caribbean from the West Coast until September 2009 when they bring the Radiance of the Seas to do 4-/5-night cruises from San Diego (not L.A.) to Cabo San Lucas.

YOUR MKHS CLASS REUNION:
Every now and then, someone will send me a note asking whether or not their class is holding a reunion. (Sometimes, it's about another high school - I never understand those messages!) I just received a message from a '58 alum inquiring about his 50th. Just as we did with the Fall '07 reunion info for the late sixties group, I post all the info someone has to offer on this page and the "Details of Event" link to help communicate the info to as many as possible.
Another way to find out if your class is holding an event may be to post a note directly in the Guest Book or Message Boards links on this site. Someone else reading the postings may have info for you or knows someone that does. Classmates.com is also a good source for upcoming events. If a party isn't planned, it's also a good way to get a group together to create the committee. It worked for us.
FUTURE USE OF THE "REUNION" WEBSITE & ALUMNI INFO: We have a five-year subscription. Any class may use this site for their individual class reunion planning.
Thanks all,
Ave Hoyos-Capozello '81 ecapozello@ca.rr.com
Click on “Details of Event” for more information about everything that’s included, the ship, the itinerary and activities planned.
